The temperature barely reached 40F today, it was overcast all day, and there is still a very thin sliver of ice on the Namekagon River. Rode by Spring Lake to check on the ice and to see if the dock has appeared from under its cover of snow.
Compared to the photo I made on April 2, above, the lake ice has transformed into a slowly melting mass of slush and the dock is now partially uncovered.
